The "Building Bridges" Workshop:

• Embraces every issue

• Works to end the mistreatment of all groups without fostering guilt or blame

• Empowers participants to be better allies to each other

• Increases participants' ability to implement diversity and communication skills in their workplaces and in their lives

• Is a participatory program which reduces the harmful effects of prejudice and discrimination

• Is led by a multi-cultural team of facilitators

Participants Will Learn:

• To understand the impact of prejudice by identifying information and misinformation learned about other groups

• To identify and express pride in their own unique cultural background and the groups to which they belong

• To understand the personal impact of specific incidents of discrimination

• To use practical skills to interrupt prejudicial jokes, remarks, and slurs
