The "Building Bridges" Workshop:
Embraces every issue
Works to end the mistreatment of all groups without fostering guilt or blame
Empowers participants to be better allies to each other
Increases participants' ability to implement diversity and communication skills in their workplaces and in their lives
Is a participatory program which reduces the harmful effects of prejudice and discrimination
Is led by a multi-cultural team of facilitators
Participants Will Learn:
To understand the impact of prejudice by identifying information and misinformation learned about other groups
To identify and express pride in their own unique cultural background and the groups to which they belong
To understand the personal impact of specific incidents of discrimination
To use practical skills to interrupt prejudicial jokes, remarks, and slurs
